ResodentA Resorcin-Formalin Dough
|
PURPOSE
The RESODENT is used for antiseptic treatment and filling the root canals with partial pulp extirpation and the difficult canals. The material can’t be used for filling the frontal teeth because of the dough tinting effect.
The dough is formed by mixing a powder and two liquids. The powder contains resorcin and radiopaque filler. The medical liquid contains formaldehyde. The liquid for hardening is a catalyst. The dough fills the canal tightly, growing hard during 24 hours.
MODE OF USE
The treated canal should be dried out. Then the medical liquid should be mixed with the liquid for hardening in the proportion of 1:1. The given antiseptic material is put into the canal to remove the air bladders.
The dough is mixed on the glass plate. One measuring spoon of the powder is mixed with the blend containing 1 drop of the medical liquid and 1 drop of the liquid for hardening. If the recurring permeability or the deep sterilization of the canals is necessary, the quantity of the medical liquid should be twice more than that of the liquid for hardening.
The dough is put in the canal gradually, by means of the root needle or the canal-filler.
If the canal opening is necessary, the “Solvadent” liquid should be used.
