Iodoformic resorptive paste

An iodoformic resorptive paste for treating pulpites, a granulomatous and granular periodontitis
The IODENT paste possesses disinfectant and bactericidal properties (as it contains strong antiseptics: iodoform, thymol, and camphor), removes offensive odors, does not affect dysbacteriosis in the oral cavity, develops protective properties of the periapical tissue, is friendly to the human organism; in the case of a possible projection beyond the apex, the reactions are minimal.
The paste is radiopaque which permits to precisely determine the canal length on a roentgenogram. As the paste does not solidify, the treatment can be renewed during a subsequent call at a doctor's.
The application of the paste makes it possible to fill the tooth with an ordinary paste at the end of the treatment without any unpleasant complications and a painful reaction after the filling.

PURPOSE

The IODENT is a iodoformic resorptive paste for treating periodontites. It is used as a medicative and prophylactic agent in the case of acute or chronic periodontites. In the pediatry, the IODENT paste does not prevent the formation of underneath germinal teeth.
The IODENT paste is used for filling the infected canals, for treating the pulpites, a granulomatous and granular periodontitis, secondary infections after the filling procedures.

MODE OF USE

Open the pulp chamber widely, clean and dilate the entrance into the canals, if possible, by using the CANAL- or CANAL-GLIDE liquids. Wash with warm water, rub the cavity with a cotton swab wetted with the CANAL-DES liquid, then dry it with the CANAL-D liquid and warm air.
Introduce the IODENT paste into the upper part of the canal and smear the cavity bottom with a small amount of the paste. Remove the excess paste and fill the cavity with the TEMPOPRO dentine-paste while excluding any compression. 2 to 3 days elapsed, introduce a new paste dose and finish the filling.
If necessary, the paste may be left in the cavity for 8 to 10 days under an observation.
In the pediatry: the carious dentine and necrotic tissues having been removed, the canal can be filled with the IODENT paste and closed then with the TEMPOPRO dentine-paste. During the next call at the doctor's, the upper part of the temporary filling is to be removed and the filling with the amalgam may be started. Be careful when using the paste for treating children under 7 years of age (as the paste has a camphormenthol basis).
ATTENTION!!! To exclude the solidification of the paste, it is recommended to close the jar with this paste hermetically aftereach use. Before use, mix the contents of the jar with a dry instrument.
